NEP Consortium Board

"Aintree is pleased to be an active member of the Consortium and sees NEP supporting the National Agenda playing a strong part in helping its clients to deliver a leading edge solution at cost effective to the NHS.

As a NEP Consortium Board member, my role is to support the NEP Board who are empowered to make strategic decisions about the NEP Consortium for the benefit of all of its members whilst ensuring it fits in line with the National Agenda.  The NEP Consortium Board meets three times a year and has strong, robust and effective governance arrangements in place to benefit the Host Trust and its members. The consortium is run by the NEP Consortium Board which consists of elected individuals from the membership which is a very important strategic role to hold.

The NEP governance arrangements mean that our voice is heard and I believe that we all get an equal opportunity to help shape the future of the NEP Solution"

Benefits

The fact that NEP was an NHS consortium was originally one of the reasons that Aintree made the decision to join NEP.

It took away the pain of design and build of a solution as well as the effort in both time and resource in maintaining it and it was a well established solution.  The advantage of utilising the NEP Template and the enhancements already in place give us a pretty good head start from day one and as we have settled down the sharing of knowledge and skills with our consortium colleagues is invaluable.
